EpicTuner 0.8.16
- VVT Configuration & PID shows all three panels again: Configuration (solenoid pins, PWM frequency, activation) was collapsed to a sliver and Exhaust PID lost its labels. Any settings dialog with side panels lays out the same way.
- Squeezed setting rows keep their labels readable; the value box narrows first.

FOR DEVELOPERS
Native plugin SDK
Build compiled C++ extensions with EpicTuner panels, calibration controls, background jobs and custom windows.
EpicTuner Plugin SDK 1.0.0-pre.3
Adds resultName, completionMessage and Context::check(completion, step) C++ helpers for useful immediate and asynchronous error logging. Updates starter and cascading-selection examples and documents revision-conflict recovery, deferred updates, request correlation and bounded diagnostic logs.
Use EpicTuner 0.8.5 or later for contextual host diagnostics and Copy diagnostics. C ABI 1.1 and all service table layouts are unchanged. Proprietary SDK terms permit plugin development/distribution and prohibit redistribution of the SDK itself.
The Windows installer, Windows portable package and Linux AppImage support in-app updates. In Settings → Updates, use the stable feed below. Notifications offer Update now or Update when I close EpicTuner.
The app selects its Windows or Linux x64 feed automatically. Save your tune and disconnect the ECU before updating. Debian installations use the .deb package.
Windows targets Windows 11 x64. Linux x64 packages require glibc 2.43 or newer. Application runtimes are included.
Component
Initial Windows release
Platform
Windows 11, 64-bit, on an Intel or AMD x64 processor. Other Windows versions and Windows ARM64 are not validated for this release.
Graphics
Direct3D 11 capable graphics with current drivers for the Qt Quick workspace and 3D views.
Memory & storage
Recommended planning budget: 8 GB RAM and 4 GB free disk space for installation and update staging, plus space for projects and recorded logs. These are recommendations, not measured minimums.
Application runtime
Included with the Windows application. No separate Qt, compiler or .NET installation is required to run EpicTuner.
ECU connection
A compatible ECU definition and communication interface for live tuning. USB/serial adapters may require their manufacturer’s driver. Offline log analysis does not require an ECU connection.
Plugin development
C++20 compiler and CMake. See the SDK setup guide for toolchains and build commands.
Linux x64 (ARM64 planned)
Component
Linux requirements
Architecture
x64 for Intel/AMD desktops and laptops. ARM64 and Raspberry Pi packages are not yet released.
Distribution
glibc 2.43 or newer (check ldd --version). Use AppImage on Omarchy/Arch-based systems. The .deb is for compatible Debian-family distributions; it is not for older Ubuntu/Debian releases.
Desktop & graphics
Wayland and X11 plugins are included. Wayland with software rendering was verified. For VM graphics issues, use QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software. Raspberry Pi is not part of this x64 release.
Memory & storage
Minimum RAM and disk requirements are pending release testing. Reserve additional storage for projects and datalogs.
ECU access
Appropriate permissions for your USB/serial device and a compatible ECU definition. Device rules and connection instructions will accompany the packages.
Updates
AppImage: update in the application using the stable feed. If FUSE is unavailable, launch with --appimage-extract-and-run. Debian: install the newer .deb using your package manager.
